I really liked the activity where we were asked to pick one sentence and write. I can see where this would be a great prompt for my OU students if I ever go back to that again. It helped me focus on what I really thought was important and meaningful to my work.
I will definitely incorporate this approach when I ask my students to read through nonfictional selections. It's a non-threatening method and encourages great discussion!
ReplyDeletei agree Tina. Picking one sentence from an entire chapter seemed daunting, but it was quite effective and students will probably feel the same way, but it will stimulate in-class discussion.
ReplyDeleteI liked this too. I can see several uses for it in my class. I'm looking forward to trying it.
