dream art

I really liked the dream illustration. Although not all students remember their dreams, Don made a good point about day dreaming! We all do that. This would make a good writing when a student can't think of anything else with the added plus of a drawing.

  1. Think about all the amazing things we may not have in the world if people had not dared to dream. I used to day dream a lot, to the point that it's a wonder I actually made it through the first grade.

Dreams are such an interesting concept to ponder. I enjoyed Scott's lesson and appreciated the chance to revisit my recurring dream about a house. This house has been in my dreams off and on since I was a child. Every time I see this house in my dreams, I feel as if I am home. I can recreate its footprint from memory and can sketch the rural environment surrounding the home. I am not that well versed in dream interpretation. The most I can come up with is the notion of wanting to revisit a place in my subconscious that feels familiar to me. If anybody had other insights to share, I'd love to hear them.

  2. I too thought Don's suggestion was very useful. As I sat there trying to recall a dream, my mind was completely blank. I thought that perhaps I could have illustrated a segment from a book I had read.

Since we talked about dreams today, it has left me wondering if I dream more than I realize. It may be interesting to keep a journal on the nightstand and write in it as soon as I wake up.
