Our lunch guest speakers
I was really intrigued by our guests from Hocking College, because we are having an excerpt power point presentation this coming Sunday about Human trafficking at our church. From the handouts that Ms. Cox gave us we learned that Ohio was ranked number two or three in the U.S. with this problem. I had known about its alarming statistics in other countries but was shocked to hear these scary details. The information will be so helpful in giving additional details relating it to here, and not just there.

I was also drawn in by our guests today. I found myself wanting to learn more. I did not realize that trafficking went on the United States today and most shockingly, OHIO. I am also interested in the ning. I really admire the idea of collaborating with colleagues and compiling our data in one shared location.
ReplyDeleteThere are many things in this world that still surprise me, and the Ohio facts are among them. My students often feel as if things don't have any point in their lives or it doesn't affect them, but the site could help bring points to "home."
ReplyDeleteBecause of the highways that crisscross the state, Ohio has issues with stuff like this and with drug trafficking. It's pretty crazy to think about.
