Another Day - they are starting to blur

What a day. The morning's activity really brought home what it is that we all hold dear when it comes to writing. It would have been interesting to ask this question at the beginning of the workshop and again at the end. I know I have learned much.
I am a big fan of the books Scott and Lori made as part of their Demo. Can we meet one lunch hour to go over some new ideas about book making? Maybe Tuesday?

  1. I agree with you about the benefits children can FEEL through bookmaking---making the piece and owning it. Good recommendation about Tuesday.

  2. My sister is a manager in a wal-mart. There was some presentation for Golden Books, an anniversary or something. Anyway, she had all these Golden Books that had blank pages. Front cover was blank with gold binding and Golden Book info on the back...just like a golden book w/o info. My student created their own fractured fairy tales in them. I wonder if you write to Golden Books will they send you some of the blanks? It has been a few years.

  3. For me, the book I made became very precious to me and the writing took on a high level of importance. I didn't want to sully the page with just any random bits of verbage.

  4. Here's a link to a flickr group about handbound books. They have a discussion forum and links on the bottom if you want to learn more. Some of these are AMAZING.
